Does this work for live-account traders too, or is it just for prop firms?

Both. The daily loss limit feature is built around prop firm rules, but it works just as well as a self-imposed cap for live-account traders managing their own risk. Multi-account support handles any mix of evals, funded accounts, and personal live accounts.

Is this really a one-time payment?

Is my trade data safe if it's stored locally?

Your data is safer locally. It's a file on your drive, protected by your OS's disk encryption if you have it enabled. No cloud company can lose, leak, or be breached out of it. Automatic timestamped backups run in the background every time you make a change.

Does it work on Mac or Linux?

The shipped build is Windows (.exe) because that's where the prop firm trader population lives. The app is Python — technically portable — but official Mac and Linux builds aren't available at launch. If demand is clear, they'll come.

Does it connect to my broker?

No. And that's intentional. Broker API integrations add dependencies and security surface area that justify a subscription. Prism Journal is a journaling tool — log trades as you take them. Takes 20 seconds per trade and puts you back in contact with your own decisions.
